The objective of my project was to draw attention to the potential of the abandoned and dilapidating– at the time when I took up my project– building of “Tęcza” cinema in Warsaw. I wanted to save the character of the place, with its culture-forming orientation, and at the same time refer to the community spirit. My proposed solution for the interior is multi-functional and easily modifiable. The new auditorium enables organisation of various cultural events, on weekdays it is a co-working space, in entrance hall a café operates usually. Such a concept empowers development and integration of inhabitants of the Warsaw Housing Cooperative, using its own infrastructure.
