Designing the table I wanted to convey an important concept of making a space for living, not only dwelling – which I try to include in each interior implementation. This is a rebellion against temporary, one-off solutions andflimsiness, to which we are accustomed. To create a piece of furniture for generations I chose oak wood and brass: raw, durable and timeless materials. The table is supposed become a trustee of the daily events – to wear, age, cover with patina– live the pace of its users, tell their stories. The piece of furniture was made with a deep need to rebuild the old tradition of spending time together, indulging in being close to the people who are significant to us, and to give them what is currently the most valuable – our time. No-frill, no-haste, daily.
